I have been fortunate enough to work at many exciting tech companies where I have contributed to a wide variety of awesome projects witten in Javascript, Python, Golang and many other programming languages. I have significant experience working with tools and frameworks such as Docker, Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Consul, AWS offerings, Saltstack and Ionic just to name a few. I have frontend and backend development experience as well as devops and site reliability engineering experience. I have worked closely with large corporations to come up with cloud solutions for a plethora of stacks, helped rapidly develop businesses, released apps, and added significant value to software and hardware products developed by companies large and small. Lead DevOps (Tech Happiness) Engineer | VP Cloud Development - (May 2016 - Present)
Shortcut is an on demand haircut and personal styling service. Think of it like Uber but for haircuts and hair styling. I am the lead devops engineer and I ensure that the sites and apps are always up and running reliably for our customers, stylists and barbers. I dream in the AWS clouds and build out highly scalable and robust continuous integration solutions using tools like docker and Jenkins. I add integrations for services and deploy logging and monitoring solutions using ELK stack and various AWS offerings to ensure that our users have the best experience possible.
JumpCloud
DevOps Engineer III - (June 2019 - Present)
JumpCloud provides SSO and Cloud security and device management solutions for companies large and small. While at JumpCloud I have scaled microservices to accomodate millions of requests per second while improving the product for hundreds of thousands of daily active users. To do this I applied principles from the AWS Well-Architected Framework to improve cloud infrastructure reliability, security, performance efficiency, and operational excellence all while reducing monthly hosting costs by 35%.

Robot Cloud Intelligence and
DevOps Engineer - (Sep 2017 - May 2019)
At Misty Robotics I built the over-the-air and continuous integration pipelines for the Misty 1 and Misty 2 robots. This included creating automation for building, testing and delivering UWP apps, STM32 microcontroller firmware, and Android SLAM software to the robots. Additionally I deployed remote, cloud based logging and analytics infrastructure on AWS using ELK stack , Application Insights, and Power BI so we could better understand how our robots are behaving out in the world.

Application Opperations Engineer II - (Mar 2017 - Sept 2017)
At Intuit I helped developed incident management solutions which included an engine that used decision tree machine learning to add context to opperations alerts and predict actions to be taken to address incidents as well as predict potential impact of other components and services across the company. This integrates with Service Now, Moogsoft, Slack and a variety of other tools to improve opperation center efficiency. Additionally, I helped architect and implement a framework for automatic infrastructure repair using SaltStack.

Vibe Ventura powers venture creation by providing software and technical consulting solutions for businesses looking to take their mobile products to the next level. We have developed an AI based chat bot tool for building a fully functional and production ready mobile app by having an easy and initutitve conversation with no technical background.
Catalyze/Datica
Software Engineering Intern - (Jan 2015 - Feb 2017)
Datica (formerly Catalyze) provides HIPAA compliant cloud computing services for healthcare companies. At Datica, I built a backend and frontend for monitoring and managing infrastructure. Catalyze runs on docker and I worked closely with our system administrators to develop robust solutions to make their customer service and maintenance tasks more efficient. I took initiative to build various internal systems integrations to provide the data analytics tools necessary to support the rapid expansion of the sales and marketing teams. Additionally, I helped develop innovative features like environment metrics and security tools for Daticas's Compliant Cloud (formerly Stratum) product.

Highly Is an application that lets you highlight and share pieces of the internet and has been featured on the Apple app store and Mashable. At Highly, I scaled and managed infrastructure, CI/CD and cloud solutions in AWS. I also performed critical database migrations and "Dockerized" infrastructure to improve deployment and resiliency.
Victory Lap
Lead Platform Engineer - (Jan 2015 - Dec 2015)
Victory Lap was a mobile social networking platform that connects students and post-grads with others who went to their school in their area. The app was built using Ionic Framework and Parse as a backend. I worked on optimizing the navigation of the app, developing custom plugins and innovative features, development and design of the user experience and managing an agile engineering team.
EatStreet
Software Engineering Intern - (May 2014 - Oct 2014)
Working at Eatstreet I developed marketing and sales analytics tools and infrastructure to support various marketing campaigns. I also dabbled in database management, developed a new way to process coupons and created a dashboard to capture real-time sales and business analytics. The atmosphere at EatStreet was fun and relaxing and the culture that of a "work hard play hard" mentality. EatStreet was my first software engineering internship and really opened the door for me to find more opportunities.
